Our “adaptability” is our number one tool for short and long term survival, plain and simple.
You see, the “strongest ones” who survive the longest are the people who are best able to adapt to their surroundings.
So the the real question you need to ask yourself is
How adaptable are you?
I get questions every day on a variety of topics. After speaking to many thousands of people I have come to the conclusion that most people do not have their eye on the ball.
I say this because, one of the keys to adapting and surviving is understanding that you should only focus on what you can change.
Here is a simple, useful set of common questions and answers about becoming more adaptable.
Q: How do you define “being adaptable”?
A: To be adaptable means that one has the ability to adjust to new situations with little change to mental or physical well-being caused by uncontrollable external factors.
Q:What is the relationship between supporting the health of your elimination channels and becoming more adaptable?
A: The more efficient one’s elimination channels are working, the better the body will respond to external stressors caused by one’s daily environment. Therefore, supporting the ability of the elimination channels to work better through high quality nourishment allows us to adapt more efficiently.
Q: What are some key factors in becoming more adaptable?
A: There are many keys to becoming more adaptable. Here are the four most important items that we can control:
- First, as mentioned above, is to support the health of your elimination channels.
- Next, is to always find fun ways to support and increase your physical fitness levels. It is not enough to just carry a large amount of quality lean muscle tissue. You also need to increase levels of strength, conditioning and flexibility. I like to call this the “Big three to adaptability”.
- Next, is the daily use of adaptogen and tonic foods.
- Finally, is strengthening what is weak. You need to take a serious look at your inherent weaknesses and support those specific systems. By doing this, you are now less vulnerable. Remember, there is no perfect. so we must strive to find our imperfections and make them stronger.
Q: What are some of the key foods you suggest eating to support adaptability?
A: If I were to make a list of some important foods to support one’s adaptability, I would say the following foods take the top of the list:
Whey protein concentrate
Hemp seeds
Coconut milk
Adaptogens
Maca
Ashwagandha
These are all high quality sustainable food sources that bring a high level of support and nourishment to the body.
