About Product

Lime juice powder is a dehydrated form of lime juice used to retain the quality and flavor of many foods.

It was first developed in the early 19th century in the Caribbean when sailors and traders needed a way to preserve lime juice for long sea voyages.

Lime juice was either boiled down and crystallized to meet this need or dehydrated and ground into a powder.

Lime juice powder became a popular and essential ingredient in food preservation and its use spread throughout the world.

Today, it is used in various products, from sauces and dressings to baked goods and snacks. Its bright flavor and versatility make it an excellent addition to many dishes.

Some research suggests that Lime may contain the following constituents:

  • Minerals: Magnesium, Phosphorus, Copper, Zinc, Manganese
  • Vitamins: Vitamin C, B-complex (no b12), Vitamin A, Beta Carotene, Beta Cryptoxanthin, Lutein, Zeaxanthin
  • Flavonols: Quercetin
  • Flavanones: Eriodictyol, Hesperetin, Naringenin, polyphenols, and terpenes

Suggested Use: Mix one teaspoon of recipes, water, juice, and your favorite smoothie.

It's nice to add to my blended drinks

I really like adding a semi-sweet bitter juice like Lime Juice to my other ingredients because it makes it taste better and adds the nutrients like vitamin c and such. The Lime Juice is good, even though I prefer the Lemon Juice or the Sea Buckthorn Juice. Either way, I rotate between those three juices from this store.
