About Product
Cacao butter wafers trace back to pre-Columbian Mesoamerica.
The Olmecs and Mayans were among the first to process the cacao bean into a paste, from which they would make a drink known as xocoatl.
Eventually, with the help of the Aztecs, the paste was processed into cacao butter.
The Europeans encountered this butter during their discovery of the New World and brought it back to Europe, where it was used widely in confectionery.
Today, cacao butter wafers are widely used to produce chocolate and other products.
