Golden flax seeds have been a part of human history since ancient times.
They were first harvested in the Middle East, likely in the Fertile Crescent region, and were eaten by many cultures over the centuries.
The Romans used them to make porridge, and the Chinese prepared them in various ways. In the 19th century, flax was introduced to North America and began to be widely used.
It was commonly grown for its oil, which was used for cooking and fuel, and for its fibers, which were used for linen and paper.
The seeds were often ground into a meal and used for baking, as a thickener for soups, or as a nutritious snack.
Today, golden flaxseed is increasingly popular as a health food due to its quality levels of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein.
